Torik Dammam (“we”, “our”, or “the service”) is a community marketplace available through torik-dammam.com and the Torik Dammam Android application. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, Saudi phone number, email address, store number, profile picture, verification status, and account status. Passwords are stored only as one-way password hashes; administrators cannot view your original password.
- Marketplace content: post category, title, description, price or salary, unit, store number, photos, post status, and permanent post number.
- Payment review information: payment currency, amount, and payment-proof image when payment is required. Proof images are available only to authorized administrators for review.
- Authentication information: verification codes and related delivery details. If you use Google sign-in, we receive the basic profile information and verified email that Google provides with your permission.
- Usage information: an anonymous visitor identifier, visit counts, approximate country or region when supplied by hosting infrastructure, time zone, and campaign source. We do not store raw visitor IP addresses for analytics or collect precise GPS location.
How we use information
We use this information to register and authenticate accounts, verify phone numbers or emails, publish and manage advertisements, display profile and contact details on posts, process post payments for administrator approval, prevent abuse, provide saved posts, operate analytics, secure the service, and improve reliability and usability.
Public information and user contact
Approved advertisements can publicly display the poster’s name, profile image, phone number, store number, post details, and uploaded post photos. Other users can tap the call button to open their device dialer. Torik Dammam does not record calls, read call logs, or access contacts.
Photos and device permissions
Camera or photo-library access is used only when you choose to add a profile image, post photo, or payment proof. Selected images are compressed before upload. The Android app also uses internet access to communicate with the marketplace service. We do not access photos you did not select.
Service providers and disclosure
We use service providers only to operate necessary parts of the service:
- Neon: hosted PostgreSQL database for accounts, posts, settings, and analytics.
- ImageKit: image processing, storage, and delivery.
- Brevo: email or SMS delivery for account verification and password recovery.
- Google: optional Google authentication.
- Render and GitHub: application hosting, deployment, and software delivery.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or during a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention
Account information is retained while an account remains active and as needed for security, dispute resolution, legal obligations, and service operations. Posts are publicly displayed for their active period; expired or rejected records and related payment evidence may be retained for moderation, fraud prevention, and accounting. Verification and reset records expire after a short period. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer reasonably needed.
Security
We use encrypted HTTPS connections, access controls, one-way password hashing, short-lived verification codes, and restricted administrator functions. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should use a strong, unique password and protect their devices.
Your choices and deletion requests
You may update supported profile details, remove saved posts, sign out, decline optional camera or photo access, and stop using the service. To request access, correction, account deletion, or deletion of associated personal data, email privacy@torik-dammam.com from the email connected to your account and include your registered phone number. We may verify your identity before acting.
Children
Torik Dammam is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
International processing
Our providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence. We use established providers and reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date at the top will identify the latest version. Material changes may also be announced in the service.
